Living in Europe makes one feel very out of touch with what is actually happening in America, and it is impossible for us over here to tell just how widespread the apathy is. Any US overseas voters need to get off their asses too, actually--it's easy as hell to get on the e-mail list and receive reminders about elections at all levels. And e-mailing your government and party representatives from abroad may help (hope dies last) send a reminder that Americans all over the world want to still exercise their rights at home even from abroad.
